Rabaul Gurias head off to meet Nothern Prides in Cairns

Reigning Digicel Cup Champions Agmark Rabaul Gurias left our shores yesterday to take on Nothern Pride Rugby League team of Cairns this Saturday.

Led by Dion Aiye and co-captain Ase Beas,the Gurias were fare welled atthe JacksonsInternational Airport bythe Sport Minister, family and friend.

Ase Beas, co-captain ofthe Agmark Rabaul Gurias is ecstatic to be part of this champion team to Cairns to playthe Nothern Pride Cairns team followed by a select side from Townsville.

Beas has been named co-captain along experienced hands Dion Aiye who was part ofthPNG Residence XIII that wonthe Cabramatta 9s and went down tothe South Sydney Rabbitohs.

The Gurais have earnedthe respect to be named one oPNG’s number one rugby league clubs of all time to participate inthe semi-professional Digicel Cup competition.

Withthe Digicel cup set to kick off in Aprilthe Gurias are itching to retainthe title oncethe 2013 season kicks off.
