Queensland Rugby League Plans With PNGRFL

The Queensland Rugby League congratulated the SP PNG Hunters on their third season in the Intrust Super Cup.

Speaking on behalf of the QRL was Head of Football, Neil Wharton, who said the Hunters have become a force to reckon with in the competition, and through experience, may one day win a premiership.

Neil Wharton was in the country to witness the first elimination final match between the SP PNG Hunters and the Sunshine Coast Falcons.

Queensland Rugby League is looking at maximizing the playing opportunities in Papua New Guinea.

He said the Hunters program is a great pathway for upcoming rugby league players in the country.

During his visit to Port Moresby, he met with PNG RFL Chairman, Sandis Tsaka.
