The passengers and crew on board the Air Niugini flight that crashed into the Lagoon at Chuuk, in the Federated States of Micronesia have arrived in Port Moresby at 2:30pm today (September 29, 2018).
The passengers and crew were recused after they landed in the Lagoon, meters away from Weno airport in Chuuk. Upon their arrival, they were received by Air Niugini officials at the Jacksons International Airport.
Air Niugini has released a statement about their safe return except for a male passenger who was not located as yet. Air Niugini is working with local authorities to have that passenger repatriated to PNG.
