Pus for Karate in PNG train-on squad

The PNG Karate Federation will stage its National Open Championships in April next year over the Easter weekend.

All affiliated clubs from different provinces that took part in the 5th PNG Games have shown interest in pushing for a spot in the PNG train-on squad.

Karate was first featured in the PNG Games this year and had one of the highest numbers of participants from various provinces.

Lafi Kyokushin Karate Do Jo club in New Ireland is the first to register for the National titles.

Sensei Bernard Soari has confirmed that one fighter from New Ireland is already on the National team and needs to train harder to maintain his spot for the 2015 Pacific Games.
