The days are counting down and the PNG Games Committee is up and about with all the preparation work before the clock strikes the deadline.
PNG Games CEO, Materua Tamarua says with four million kina provided by the government, the venues will be in form before the athletes flock in.
The BSP PNG Games organising Committee is working around the clock to get the venues set for the Games.
Host city, Lae will be packed to capacity with athletes from all provinces competing in various different sporting codes.
At the moment, the Committee is yet to finalize how many sporting codes will participate. Confirmation of participation from all provinces needs to be completed before September 6th.
But going forward is the announcement of Puma Energy coming on board fueling the games throughout the duration of the games.
Games Ambassador, Scott Prince has been involved in school activities to get the games message across. He welcomed the new partnership for a successful Game.
The PNG Games CEO says the involvement of Puma Energy in the games is significant as they will provide fuel for vehicles who will be engaged in the games.
Tamarua confirmed that security personnel from the Guard Dog Security Firm will be deployed to the venues and the Constabulary Force including Australian Federal Police and Igam Barracks Defence who will be in force.
