PTPSL Telikom’s Clean Sweep in Women’s Premier Grade

NCDVA went into its Grand Finals today with four divisions competing for the 2016 titles.

EMTV Sports caught up with the Women’s Premier match today, where PTPSL Telikom clean swept.

PTPSL Telikom showed dominance early on as their attacks and defenses were all up. The first set, saw the Vailimas making an attempt at throwing off the Telikom side.

After 5 minutes of landing consecutive balls on the Vailima’s side of the net, PTPSL Telikom was leading by a good 15 points to Vailima’s 3.

The remaining part of the set saw Telikom put up convincing dummies, which led to scores, and eventually claiming the first set.

The second set saw a much more defenseless Vailima side. Avoidable mistakes and missed service opportunities gave the set to Telikom again, with a 13 – 15 scoreline.

The decider set, was threatening for the Telikom side, as the Vailimas came back onto the court, all fired up to give themselves a fighting chance.
Every score from the Telikom side was countered by Vailimas.

Telikom saw an opening to take lead, when both teams were 20 all. Under mounting pressure, again two missed services from the Vailima’s side and it was a sealed deal, for PTPSL Telikom.

The match ended with 15 – 21 in favor of PTPSL Telikom.
