Provinces’ support 2015 Pacific Games

Four provinces’ have confirmed to bring the 2015 Pacific Games to their people.

West Sepik, Oro, Gulf and Western Province have signed up to participate in the live site program, youth leadership program, provincial cultural groups and the games relay. 

Games Organising Committee CEO, Peter Stewart has welcomed the four provinces’ support and said the games is not just a sporting event but also a celebration of culture, friendship and unity.

Each province will have access to watching the games live through the games live site program where each province will receive blow up screens to project the broadcast of the games.

Furthermore, youths comprising of four males and females will travel to Port Moresby to take part in the leadership program and each province will have a cultural group perform during the games.

“We are bringing the Pacific Games live on screen to rural families who have no access to TV so that they can watch on the open air screen and be a part of this event”, said West Sepik Provincial Administrator, Henry Norm.

Gulf Provincial project officer, Gabriel Topokai said the province is excited about the program as it is a good way to bring communities together.
