The delinquent who was behindthe Ashton Kutcher and Justin Beiber hoax phone calls directed attheir respective Los Angeles homes late last year, has been charged.
A 12 year old boy suspected of makingthe calls known as “swatting” pranks was charged by prosecutors last week.
Hoax phone calls such asthese are termed “swatting” calls when a 9-1-1 call is made to report a bogus crime in order to create an emergency response where lives could be in danger.
The minor has been charged with 2 counts of felony both for false bomb threats and computer intrusion. Due to his age,the boy’s identity has not been released.
