Port Moresby Men’s Basketball League announces squad

The Port Moresby Men’s Basketball League has announced its squad for the impending National Championships this weekend.

With a number of their squad already having international experience, the team is looking to perform very well.

A host of well known names make up the squad in the likes of Apia and Purari Muri, as well as Joe Elavo and Paiwa Baldwin. With round having just been completed, the players selected are already in good physical form heading into the championships.

From a Pom Basketball league perspective, they are hoping to raise the standard of the code, by involving the best that the capital sides have to offer.

Lawrence Lahari, who is part of the Port Moresby Basketball League, said that with the inclusion of the expat community in the city, the quality of the league has vastly improved.
