Port Moresby men’s softball team aims to dominatethe National Softball Championships in Kavieng next month by sending two strong teams.
Pom Men’s squad settled for second best losingthe major title to Lae last year, but not this time around.
POM Softball League Selectors have named two very strong training sides to represent Port Moresby atthe upcoming NGCBeNational Softball Championships in Kavieng overthe Easter Weekend.
Be nded with youth and experiencethe sides are filtered with current internationals including pitchers, Danny Tovia, Anslam Benbun, and Meli Taragau and current internationals including Dick Bert Jr, Isikiel Tovia Jr, Demas Tovia, Bebby Beis and Ora Gime.
These Championships will be utilised bythPNG Softball Federation to selectthPNG Men’s & Womenrsquo;s National Softball Teams for the 2015 Pacific Games.
POM selectors have included a couple of promising youngsters who will be vying to impress selectors.
After holdingthe Champions mantle for the last couple of years, Port Moresby Men’s werethe runners up to Lae in last year’s Championships staged in Madang and aim to go one better by taking outthe Champions title this year.
This won’t be easy as defending Champions Lae, 201PNG Games Champions ENBe will be sending a couple of teams across to contestthe Championships.
