POM Soccer into knockouts

Port Moresby Soccer competition went into round-5 on Saturday atthe Besini Soccer Grounds.

The heat is on but only two teams from nine pools will battletheir way through tothe quarter finals next week.

Despite dull wether, teams took tothe field vying for a spot inthe finals.

Besini Soccer ground was in a buzz with 16 men and 10 women teams participating inthe Port Moresby Soccer Competition.

Pools A to H for men and only a pool for women.In pool H, Mungkas two defeated Tarangau 2, two, nil. Berea 2 was too good on field to UIFC Senior Three, one.

Assistant Competition Manager for Port Moresby Soccer Association, Robert Sabadi, commended teams taking part and looks forward tothe proper season which begins onthe 27th of this month.

The preseason fixtures began onthe 16th of March and ending its final round today.

Meantime Public servants have showed interest inthe competition and it won’t be surprising to see teams fromtheir end comethe proper season.
