Polye: Build Good Character

By Jack Lapauve Jr – EM TV News, Port Moresby

Opposition Leader, Don Polye, has urged students at the Seventh Day Adventist run Mt Diamond Secondary School to uphold principles of uprightness and abide by the laws of this country.

Polye, whilst addressing students, staff and parents, called for equal respect for one another at all times.

He said a student’s attitude and character can be shaped by following the basic principles of respect, abiding by the rule of law and upholding uprightness.

The opposition leader urged the students not only to concentrate on academic work but to also spend time in developing good character and attitude.

Polye was speaking during the opening of a double dormitory, which will accommodate hundreds of students both male and female.

Each dorm is said to have cost approximately K1.6 million each, totalling approximately K3 million.

Polye urged the students to look after the facilities at yesterday’s opening.
