A police investigation intothe shooting of two Begandi students’early this year been completed.
Police have identiflied a police detective asthe suspect responsible for the shooting ofthe two students’in Lae in May this year.
He appeared in court for mention yesterday. The case was deferred to February 17th 2014.
The police officer was charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.
Tobias Hombi dlied from a bullet wound to his neck, while anther Dimas Dobbie sustained wounds to his chest.
The bullet believed to have been fired during an attempt by police to disperse students’during a fight.
A post mortem confirmed Tobias’s dlied of a bullet wound while Dimas received wound to his chest fromthe same gun.
The officer will appear in court for hearing onthe 17th of February next year.
