Police Life Insurance

By Vasinatta Yama – EM TV News, Port Moresby

The moment all police personnel have been anticipating has arrived.

The Police Union has signed an agreement with National Teachers Insurance Limited and Life Insurance Corporation PNG Limited yesterday, to provide life and funeral insurance for its members.

However, those who will benefit are the 6,000 union members.

Police Commissioner, Gari Baki, who was present at the signing, announced that this is the first of other benefits that will come later, especially for his policemen and women.

Some of those benefits are the review of the police retirement and housing scheme, medical insurance, and to elevate and improve their wellbeing.

He advised his members to join the Union so that they too can benefit.
