PNGRFL to Conduct Coaching And Refereeing Updates

Later this month the PNG Rugby Football League (PNGRFL) Development Team will conduct coaching and refereeing updates for all affiliated leagues in the Highlands Confederation.

With the support of the Australian Rugby League, the PNGRFL will introduce an entry level PNG Coaching Accreditation Certificate, which will allow Papua New Guineans to gain an internationally accredited Level 1-3 coaching certificate.

NRL Development Officer, Brian Rowe, will assist with the conference at the National Sporting Institute in Goroka, while PNGRFL National Development Manager, Toksy Nema, will supervise all course updates, beginning on January 16 in Wabag, and later moving to Lae on January 27.

Following this conference, the PNGRFL is aiming to have courses implemented through all affiliated leagues, to assist with the growth of the number one’sport in the country.
