The Bank of South Pacific was awarded the Best Employer from the Private Sector, while Investment Promotion Authority received the Best Employer Award in the Public Sector category.
Both businesses were presented the awards at the 2015 PNG Human Resource Institute Annual National Conference.
PNGHRI is a professional body dealing with the development and management of human resources in Papua New Guinea.
The awards were presented by Prime Minster, Peter O’Neill, in Port Moresby.
Mr O’Neill delivered the keynote address at the 2015 PNG Human Resource Institution Annual Conference.
He addressed Human Resource Practitioners, including Managers and Chief Executive Officers of major business houses and educational institutions, around the country.
The annual PNGHRI Conference started today and will end on Thursday.
It is a professional body dealing with the development and management of human resources in PNG.
Since its establishment in 1973, it has expanded its network internationally, and created professional accreditation and HRM undergraduate and graduate development and placements in parts of Papua New Guinea.
Each year, the institute gives awards to business houses or educational institutions, awards based on their accountability, performance, modernisation, and management during the year.
