The Local Organising Committee, LOC, for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016 has condemned the actions of individuals engaged in ‘ticket touts’.
LOC Chief Executive Officer, Seamus Marten, in a statement said neither the LOC nor the ticket outlets are giving bulk tickets to people to sell outside the official ticket outlets at their own mark-up prices.
Although authorised ticket outlets have limits to sell to individuals per purchase, Marten said there is no law in PNG that prevents people from this act.
There are only four authorised ticket outlets in Port Moresby, Lae and online in which fans can purchase their tickets.
