With the World’s attention on Papua New Guinea, the PNG Tourism Promotion Authority today (November 16) has officially launched their new-look website.

The website gives new meaning to tourism as it is more interactive and user-friendly.

In launching the website, Tourism Minister, Emil Tammur, also thanked the National Government for allocating 67 million kina for tourism sector development.

Following a review of its existing website, PNG Tourism Promotion Authority undertook an exercise to redevelop its website.

With this new and improved website, PNG Tourism Promotion Authority seeks to change the perception of what one thinks of PNG, to reimagine the true natural beauty of the country.

It is not only a website but also an online marketing tool.

Minister Tammur, said the informative and up to date website also provides valuable information not only for our international visitors but can also be used as an educational tool.

It took about 6 to 7 months to redevelop the online site, with a more user-friendly interface for its users.

Most of the contents on the webpage are based on PNGTPA’s google analytics report.

Although there are challenges present in regards to compliance and data protection, the new online site helps to positively promote the country’s image.

CEO for PNG TPA, Jerry Agus, stated that now is the best time to promote the country and urged all citizens to work together in ensuring that.
