Educating and motivatin PNG’swim coaches is now paramount for the success of teaPNG’swim team.
PNG Swimming sent six active pool deck coaches, Sue Bebao, Doris Mileng, Villiwa Puana, Joe Meauri, Albert Vigil, and Ryan Pini totheWorld Class ASCTA Convention held onthe Gold Coast.
These coaches attended a 3-day Beonze Coaching Accreditation Course while Coach Liz Wells upgraded her Silver License and attended meetings with ASCTA (Australia Swim Coaches TeachersAssociation).
It was a very intense seven days with long hours of lectures and classroom activities providing an opportunity for Coaches to network and learn fromthe best Australia has to offerthen to impart that knowledge to futher develoPNG athletes into elite competitive swimmers.
The ASCTA Convention 2013 createdthe platform for learning and networking forPNG coaches with some ofthe world’s best coaches and practitioners also present.
The team of coaches educational trip was funded underthe preparation budget throughthPNG Olympic Committee’s 'Go for Gold' funding fromthe Government.
