PNG Rugby Legend dies

Rugby league has lost a legend.

Konze Kara who was a sothern zone legend passed away on Tuesday afternoon after a short illness.

Known affectionately as ‘Konsy Kara’, he played for various clubs in Port Moresby Rugby League and Union clubs respectively inthe late 70’s.

His career highlighted was inthe “Zone Trials” where he could best be described as a fearless Centre playing for Southern zone.

He was 55 atthe time of his passing and is survived by his two children.
