PNG pumped for Mario Concert

Well known R&B singer, song writer Mario Barrett arrived in Port Moresby yesterday.

The ‘How do I breathe' singer posted on instagram an incredible photo of PNG from the plane with the caption: “mariosoultruth: First stop PAPUA NEW GUINEA!! This is an island North of Australia”.

Papua New Guinea is his first stop for his Soul Truth Tour. Then he leaves for Australia and New Zealand.

People from all over the world wrote to Mario when he posted yesterday on his instagram profile he was in PNG. Some were enthusiastic and wished him all the luck, others were a little more narrow-minded and all the Papua New Guineans were simply blown away that an international superstar is bound to perform in Cosmopolitan.

The 20 year old Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and actor will be performing tonight at the Cosmopolitan night club for one night only.

According to his official Website, the 20 year Old’s 2005 hit “Let Me Love you” reaped more than 2 million copies worldwide, held the number one spot for nine consecutive weeks on the world charts and maintains its spot for being the highest downloading ringtone of about 1.6 million.

Papua New Guinea is beyond excited to see him perform that song live tonight, among other hits of course.

Cosmo’s is going to be jam-packed tonight as a total of 1400 tickets are being presold, 400 VIP which are sold for K150, and 1000 general tickets for K75 and almost all of them have been sold.
