PNG prepares to hosts Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting

The 2013 Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting was showcased last Friday (21/12/12) in Port Moresby.

Eighteen stakeholders attended the showcase witnessed by Community Development Minister Loujaya Toni.

This is preparation for PNG as the hosts for the eight meeting from April 15th to 19th next year.

Meanwhile Minister Toni clarified that funds for the Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting will not be sourced from the Community Development Ministry as mentioned earlier.

This was based on the Governments recent decision that the meeting is a national event and will be budgeted under the National Events Council.

“The funds will be part of the National Events Council. That has been the ruling by the Government that any National Event that is going to happen in this country, funds will be passed on from the National Events Council to manage the event, said Toni”
