PNG Ports Women Acknowledged

Womenemployees aPNG Ports Corporation were acknowledged for their efforts inthe organisation. A small ceremony was held atthe headquarters in Port Moresby, in commemoration oftheInternational Womenrsquo;s Day

Senior female officers gave insights into what it’s like to hold positions that traditionally remained functions oftheir male counterparts.

PNG Ports Corporation was one of few organisations who markedtheInternational day withthetheme: “The Gender Agenda: Gaining Momentum”. The day was about acknowledging female staff’s contribution tothe organisation and tothe development oPNG onthe whole. 25% oPNG Ports staffs are females.

The company prides itself as an equal organisation.

PNG Ports has policies against gender discrimination, especially work place harassment.
