PNG Pepes Move Forward

Coach Rokoura, believes the bond within the team is strong and she looks forward to the coming year for the Pepes, and the future for netball in Papua New Guinea.

The team is on a break and will return to training in the second week of January 2015.

Captain of the team, a veteran, Lua Rikis, showed brilliance picking up the most valuable players of the competition

Coach for the PNG Pepes, Unaisi Rokoura, said that going into the Nations Cup, the team was missing a player but they still managed to place second.

The team were recently in Singapore, and competed in the 2015 Missions Food’s Nations Cup where they also made it to the final play off but settled for silver.

The Pepes just missed out on a gold medal at the 2015 Pacific Games, edged out by Fiji in the Gold Medal Play-off to settle for silver.

The national netball team, PNG Pepes, have completed their competitions for 2015 and are looking forward to a bigger year come 2016.
