The PNG under-19 Garamuts are prepared for the ICC EAP U19 Trophy in Blenheim, New Zealand.
The team has been training and improving at a steady pace in their batting, bowling, fielding, skills and full fitness through the use of the gym.
The team has been training at Amini Park which has been challenging compared to slightly different training conditions at their local clubs, and it is proving to be challenging and motivating.
The under-19 Garamuts have been hard at training and believe they are on track to win the tournament for the country.
The team left for Auckland, New Zealand where they will undergo three days of intensive pre-tournaments and trial matches, then will head to Blenheim for the ICC EAP Under 19 Trophy.
The tournament will include four teams from the Pacific region, these being Samoa, Fiji, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea.
The winner of the tournament will automatically earn a spot in the 2016 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Bangladesh. The team in second place will go through to the World Cup Qualifiers.
