The recruitment height requirement inthe army for females is 165 centimetres.
Colonel Mark Goina saidthe reason why many females were not recruited overthe years including this year was becausethey didn’trsquo;t meet this requirement.
Colonel Goina said many parents called onthe army to relax this restriction.
The Chief of Personnel saidthe height requirement is vital because complementsthe weight a soldier carries in his or her back pack.
Government has taskedthe army to recruit 5 thousand by year 2015, approximately 300 every year.
