The Pacific games have seen a phenomenal display of speed by some of the very best sprinters PNG has ever had, going up against the best in the region.

And those who were present at the BSP Stadium got their chance to witness the fastest men in the Pacific, crossing the finishing line, time and time again in numerous heats and final events.

For a long time, PNG’s reigning sprint queen has been competing in international stage where she ran against some of the fastest women on the planet.

The 15th Pacific Games have brought her back home to represent her country in front of the full house stadium, and millions in front of their Television sets eager to see her run.

And the test of endurance by our long distance runners, keeping the audience on their feet in the final laps of the race.

It was these momen’s that will be captured in history and be embedded in the hearts and minds of all Papua New Guinea’s and to the whole of the Pacific.

These faces maintain PNG’s dominance on the tracks for decade, now will they stand the test of time and once again steal the lime light in four years’ time.

However, it has dawned on the new breed of runners, that they will be the movers and shakers of next generation of elite athletes:

the likes of sprinters Theo Piniau, Kaminiel Matlaun;
in hurdles Wala Gime,  Peniel Joshua, Wesley Logorava, Afure Adah, Donna Koniel;
