In football, the PNG Men’s National Football team is confident of a good performance leading into the OFC Nations cup.
The side will face New Caledonia in their opening fixture on Sunday, with the team appearing relaxed and assertive, ahead of the match.
Following good performances in their international friendlies against the Solomon Islands in March, the PNG team appeared relaxed in their training camp, five days ahead of their match against Pacific giants, New Caledonia
PNG vice-captain, Raymond Gunemba, has stated that pride for the country was a bonding gel that brought the team together.
Debutants for the national team, Nigel Dabinyaba and Tommy Semmy, also expressed excitement about playing for the team.
For other players like defender Otto Kusunan, it is more than just playing for the country
The team had an intensive two-week long session in Lae, and this week they are focusing only on their tactical approach and set pieces.
