PNG Athletes have a mammoth task ahead starting off with Oceania Championships in Tahiti early next month.
PNG Athletics President Tony Green confirmed all upcoming events adding that next month will be a busy month onthe athletics calendar.
Eight athletes will represenPNG inthe Oceania Championships in Tahiti in which includin PNG Sprint sensation Toea Wisil.
This event will be a decider for her to take part intheWorld championship.
Mr. Green said he is looking at sending 40 athletes tothe upcoming mini Pacific Games in Wallis and Futuna.
Also a team will travel to Singapore for the Open Championships in June 21st and 22nd.
He saidthere is also room for improverment in ther track and field events.
