PIT raising women’s standard

Port MoresbyIndustrial Touch played Game 6 of Round 1 with 4 Womenrsquo;s Open Teams from major corporate companies.

PIT hopes to help raisethe playing standard to developthe Touch footy code futher amongthe women folk.

PIT as it is known is proud to be sponsored by SP Brewery through its Premium Brand SP Export Lager and as a drive towards achievingtheir ultimate goal as an association.

PIT now has 4 Womenrsquo;s Open Teams playing inthe Open Womenrsquo;s Division.

The teams are made up of women players from Club Pacific MMI, TelikoPNG, TNT Air Cargo, CoffeyInternational DevelopmentoNational Development Bank, Eda Ranu and WaterPNG.

The purpose of having this division is to develop and raisethe playing standard for the women’s open players.

PIT is ranked Second 2nd inthe Country in boththe Open Womenand Men’s Division after competing inthe Grand Finals ofthe National Touch Football Championships in Goroka early this year.

PIT is now selecting players for the 2014 National Championships in Port Moresby and training for PIT select side will commence this week atthe Sir John Guise Stadium at 5:00pm.”
