The People’s United Party receivedtheir share of financial support fromthe Registry of Political Parties today in Port Moresby.
Register of Political Parties, Dr Alphonse Gelu, presented a sum of thirty thousand kina to party leader Anderson Agiru and ther party officials.
The funding was approverd fromthe central fund for political parties afterthe People’s United Party submittedtheir acquittals and ther reports.
Dr. Gelu saidthe funding is an appreciation to helpthe party pursue its plans and dreams.
PUA’s leader and Hela Governor Mr. Agiru said lLeadersip is not an auction item. Governor Agiru added thatthe party is small but bases its pillars on nation changing policies.
He advocated that such funding will ensurethe progress ofthe party inthe political arena.
Governor Agiru was accompanlied by Party PresidentoRaymond Kuai, and General Secretary, Ben Gawi.
So far 14 political parties have receivedtheir funds.
