It is Good Friday and keeping withthe Christian tradition, thousands of Catholics aroundthe country rememberedthe passion of Christ.
Forthe residents ofthe nation’s capital,the stations ofthe cross began atthe St Charles Lwanga Parish, Gerehu and ended atthe St Joseph’s Parish, East Beroko.
NCD Traffic Unit ensuredthe roads were clear for the walk to proceed and thanked all motorists for their understanding duringthe 7 hour walk.
Sixty new recruits from Bemana also assisted male students’of Jubilee Secondary to provide marshalling services duringthe walk.
One pilgrim was concerned that young people lost concentration asthe crowd got bigger.
All in all,the walk ended successfully atthe St Joseph’s Parish, East Beroko withthe Veneration ofthe Cross.
