Pacific Youth and Sport

Thirty youths from different sporting codes, churches and NGO’s in PNG will participate inthe Pacific Youth and Sport Conference in Noumea later this year.

Oceania Football Confederation believes that sports are a great tool to address issues affecting young people. Sport also instill values of healthy living, fairplay, gender equality, team work andthe pursuit for excellence.

 

The new approach will provide youths inthe country an opportunity to meet ther youths inthe rest ofthe pacific.

 

Head oPNG Delegation, Sere Kala said selected youths will go through an orientation and be drawn into discussions before departing for New Caledonia.

 

This will assist in buildingtheir confidence in decision making attheir peer group level through peer groups.
