It was only two years ago when Pacific International Hospital (PIH) opened a completely brand new hospital in 3-mile; today, it celebrated the marking of its dedicated tertiary health services to people of Papua New Guinea.
Special guest, His Excellence, High Commissioner of Solomon Islands, Barnabas Anga, was given an official tour of the hospital by by PIH CEO, Dr Col Sandeep Shaligram.
The tour started at the reception before going through the emergency, labor ward, surgery unit, CT scan, and other areas.
Dr Shaligram said over the last two years, PIH has saved lives through the support of using world class operating machines and quality support staff.
PIH Director, Dr Suresh Venkita, said PIH is a one-stop shop for individuals and families requiring medical treatment, not just in PNG but throughout the Pacific Region.
His Excellence Barnabas Anga, after the tour, said a partnership will be created with PIH in PNG to help the patients in Solomon Islands.
CEO, Dr Sandeep states that PIH has come a long way, saving Papua New Guineans at a cost effective price, while getting the best services possible which is of international standards.
