The volunteer and technical official’s thank you party was held today at the Sir John Guise BSP Stadium. This was organised by the Pacific Games Organising Committee to show appreciation and say thank you to the tireless effort that volunteers and technical officials showed in putting together the 2 weeks of the Pacific Games.
The Minister for Sport, Justin Tkatchenko, and Games Organising Committee Chairman, Peter Stewart, were present to thank the Volunteers and technical officials for a job well done.
Tkatchenko said, this was the beginning of many great things to come such as FIFA U-23 world cup next year that will again bring the world to the shores of Papua New Guinea.
It was by far a satisfying moment for most of the volunteers and technical officials, they were given a certificate of participation; which qualifies them to participate in such international events in the future.
The afternoon concluded with the screening of memorable momen’s from the Pacific Games memorable on the big screen.
