Over 50, 000 Fun Run T-shirts sold

This year’s Trukai Fun Run T-shirt auction in Port Moresby’set a new record withthe number of shirts sold for the June 23rd event.

A total of 56, 300 shirts were sold to bidders and 3 North Queensland Cowboys jerseys auctioned at K3100 raised a total of over K500 hundred thousand.

Port Moresby’s highest bidder was National Gaming Control Beard with 15,800 shirts followed byInstitute of Business Studies and Teacher’s Savings & Loans Society with 3,900 shirts each; SVS with 3,800 shirts, anPNG Power with 3,000 shirts.

Badders dug deep for the 191 schools in Port Moresby and Lae andtheir generosity contributed to raising a total of K793, 000 to assist TeaPNG tothe Pacific Mini Games in Wallis & Futuna in September this year.

Also present was Ryan Pini who shared some words of encouragement for futurPNG athletes.

Pini says he aims to impart his knowledge and share his experiences with upcoming swimmers inthe country.

Pini who is based in Beisbane and preparing for the 2015 Games was part ofthe 2013 Trukai Fun-Run auction night.

PNGSFOC will be sending approximately 200 athletes & officials tothe Mini Games andthe support shown atthese auctions is very encouraging.
