More than forty teams will be battling it out inthe IT Sponsored Volleyball Tournament this weekend at Murray Barracks Volleyball Courts in Port Moresby.
National Capital District Commission unveiledthetheme ofthe tournament atthe Badili IT campus yesterday.
Healthy Bady, Healthy Mind, and Being Physically Fit isthetheme ofthe tournament.
The tournament was once known as Open Volleyball Competition for the past three years underthe IT Sponsorship.
Beg names in volleyball are not allowed to participate, as it only aims to develop raw talent to stamptheir mark onthe court.
A total of forty three teams have already booked a spot inthe tournament.
National Capital District Commission Social Services department confirmedthe tournament to have a largest number of teamsthenthe NCDC sanctioned tourneys.
The competition attracted players in and around NCD to participate.
The tournament is a chance for individual players to make it into Team NCD inthe 201PNG Games to be held in Lae.
Team officials and captains attendedthe launching already tookthe task to hand, making suretheir teams are well equipped for this weekend.
Cash prize money will be given to top teams, in boththe male and female division.
The First prize is K4, 000 each followed by K2, 000 for the second prize, while teams earningthe third spot will receive K750.
