Oro: Torrential Rains Wreak Havoc

The situation onthe ground inthe Nothern Province is looking bleak as torrential rains continue to wreak havoc in many parts ofthe province.

Uiaku village inthe Tufi Local Level Government is under water and 14 houses are reported to have been washed away.

 

Provincial Administrator Owen Awaita say 11 rapid assessment teams sent out on Saturday have yet to return.

 

Awaita saysthere is a desperate need for food and clean drinking water.

 

He is monitoringthe situation closely withthe Disaster office and Governor Garry Juffa.
