We take you to Mendi, in the Southern Highlands Province and give you an insight of the work carried out by UNICEF and UN Women in terms of Child Friendly Safe Spaces, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene with Nutrition and Safe spaces for Women and Children.
We talk about how UNICEF, through its Child Friendly Safe Spaces is helping small children who may still be suffering from stress, fear and anxiety upon their experience of the massive earthquake that had struck in February of 2018; we also feature safe spaces for women and children a program set up by the UNWomen for them to go to find refuge.
Mothers in Southern Highlands were privileged to also have access to awareness on nutrition and how important it is for their children.
