We place the spotlight on hypothermia and what it does to newborn babies. Thousands of babies die annually as a result of hypothermia.

The Early Essential Newborn Care or EENC is a set of simple interventions that benefit all mothers and newborn babies. This is a program that was piloted in Eastern Highlands Province in 2015 and has proven to have benefited many mothers and babies.

We also feature a hypothermia alert device was also piloted in Eastern Highlands Province and is locally known as the Bebi Kol Kilok.

In the final segment, we give an update on the first round of polio vaccinations in the 3 high-risk provinces which are Morobe, Madang and Eastern Highlands.
