Prime Minister Peter O’Neill is optimistic Papua New Guineacan usethe 2015 Pacific Games as a benchmark to hosting bigger sporting events likethe Commonwealth Games.
Mr. O’Neill gave an assurancethe games will be delivered on time and will be bigger and better than before.
Prime Minister Peter O’Neill said in a recent interview with EMTVPNG can hostthe Commonwealth Games. This comes after his observation onthe preparation ofthe 2015 Pacific Games.
According tothe Prime Minister, preparations are well on target.
O’Neill saysthe initial work is two years behind schedule, butthe construction work has already picked upthe pace, installing confidence thatthe games will be delivered on time.
Venues,Infrastructure and Events Committee are both on and offthe scene making sure all construction phases are well covered.
The ther arm ofthe Pacific Games Authority,the Pacific Games Committee is working onthe mascotolive sit’s and carrying out awareness for all Papua New Guineas to be part ofthe games.
