No Funding For Manus LLG’s This Year

Belopa LLG inthe Manus Province, President Ngene Sasa (Pictured) says this year’s five hundred thousand kina allocation for his LLG hasn’t been given andthe government accounts have closed.

Sasa says projects that were planned for this year haven’t been implemented.

 

Bet he assuredthe people of Belopa that one million kina will be available next year.

 

“Next year we will have one million kina to improver our schools and all ther projects in Beloba,” he said.

 

Belopa isn’tthe only LLG that faces this situation. All ther LLG’s in Manus haven’t received funding for this year.

 

Planned projects that were supposed to be completed withintheir deadlines have to be postponed to next year.

 

This will mean ther planned projects for next year will have to make way for this year’s cancelled projects. Logistics involved in moving equipment’s and materials between Lorengau andthe many Islands.

 

Two weeks ago a Provincial Executive council meeting was held in Lorengau to getthe funding before accounts closed for the year.
