After almost 13 months of no board in place,the National Housing Corporation officially inducted its Members on Wednesday.
The new NHC Beard comprises elit’s and professionals, and is led by Chairman Kennedy Wemin, who isthe Ministerial Nominee.
Members include Max Kamba, Ditha Morris Naiab, Keith Iduhu, and lone female Member Faye- Zina Lalo.
thers includethe Secretaries forLands, National Planning Finance andthe Acting Managing Director of NHC as ex-oficio Members.
All will servethe National Housing Corporation Beard for a period of three years.
National Housing Corporation in recent times has managed to gradually improver its tarnished image underthe watchful eyes of Acting Managing Director, John Dege.
The Corporation also facedthe Public Accounts Committee, where it was revealed,there was no board in place, and hence,the NHC Management had to work within its financial limitations.
And yesterday,the long process ended, withthe appointment ofthe new Beard.
Housing Minister Paul Isikiel, who joined inthe occasion, said it was a long process but one that had to be done to bring inthe best in order to roll–outthe government’s major housing projects.
He also announced thatthe government for the first time, after 18 years, has approverd K150 million for Housing Projects.
The new board intends to changethe image of NHC for the better, and on top ofthe list is to take stock of all assets underthe National Housing Corporation.
