Roadsnthe Nuku electorate ofthe Sandaun Province are being upgraded.
Roadsre priority for the local MP, Joe Sungi who has committed five million kina underthe district services improverment program.
The first five thousand kina was paid to UMW last Friday for machinery.
Three point nine million kina (K3.9 million) has been allocated for earth moving equipment from UMW, and anther one million for dump trucks.
“It’s justthe start. Our intension is to purchase more machines next year, and continue to purchase more inthe few years so thatthe people of Nuku can have enough machines to buildtheir own roads, says Sungi.
“Our plan is to make sure that we reach allthe wards. Our districts are focused onthe wards.
