New Fijian Retail Outlet to Open in Central Waigani

This Friday will see the opening of a new retail shop in Port Moresby under the partnership between the CPL group of companies and the Fijian retailer, Jack of Fiji. This retail outlet which is part of City Pharmacy will be based in Waigani Central hosting a wide range of clothes and accessories including corporate sales on company uniforms.

The chairman of the CPL group, Mahesh Patel, said that the retail shop will attract value-loving fashionable shoppers in Port Moresby.

“We are very pleased that Jacks of Fiji share our vision of the future potential of this business.” Said Mr Patel.

Avinesh Prasad, the General Manager for Finance and Administration of Jacks of Fiji, expressed his confidence in Jacks becoming a growing retail business in Papua New Guinea adding that “…our expansion outside Fiji is rooted in our sincere desire to bring the joy of wearing truly great but affordable clothes to Papua New Guineans,”

According to Fijians living in Port Moresby, the price factor concerned with the retailer is reasonably cheaper compared to other shops in Port Moresby and even Fiji itself.

In a few years’ time, Jacks of PNG plans to expand its branches throughout PNG if there are good locations available.
