Chief Commander ofthe New Caledonia Armed Forces, Beigadier General Luc De Revel, will be on a three day visit in Port Moresby’starting today.
His visit will also include a port visit bytheir France Navy Ship Frigate Vendémiaire scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning atthe main wharf in Port Moresby.
Vendémiaire isthe fifth unit of a series of six surveillance frigates ofthe French navy. It is designed to carry out surveillance and humanitarian missions far away from its mainland.
Beigadier Luc De Revel’s visit to Port Moresby is to meet up with Papua New Guinearsquo;s senior defence officers and lLeadersto strenthen defence relations throughthe ongoing training betweenthe two countries and also to discuss futher defence bilateral relations withPNG.
