New ATM For Vanimo Customers

By Theckla Gunga – EM TV Port Moresby

Westpac customers in Vanimo, West Sepik province now have access to an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM).

The bank recently re-opened its branch in Vanimo, giving its customers the chance to apply for loans, create savings accounts and conduct other banking transactions.

The newly-installed ATM in town will remove stress for customers who are lining up to withdraw money or check their balances.

Head of Westpac PNG’s Retail Banking, Adam Downie, said more ATMs will soon be installed in other parts of the country.

“Westpac is proud to be expanding its convenient banking services we provide in Vanimo,” said Downie.

He said Westpac has the second largest ATM fleet in the country and the installation of the ATM in Vanimo is a bonus for both town residents and the travelling public.

“The ATM complements our very successful Mobile Banking Platforms, in-store and branch network to bring convenience and flexibility to our customers, wherever they are,” Downie added.
