NCD Volleyball Competition | Round 1 Complete

The NCD Volleyball Association has just completed its first round of competition at the Taurama Aquatic Centre.

One Six Pawa, MJ Electrical U-Mi Yet, Vanama and Scorpions are currently on top in the men’s premier division.

While in the women’s premier, Telikom, Jamas, ADF Laudanu ELA are in the lead.

The association has ten clubs participating with four teams each.

Scorpions, Vanama, MJ Electrical U-Mi Yet, Vailima, Ela Motors, ADF Laudanu, Jamas, Strive Stars, One Six Pawa and PTPSL Telikom.

An outstanding game for the men’s this weekend came from One Six Pawa, who defeated Ela Motors 3 sets to 1.

The women’s division saw Telikom off to a good start despite Scorpions’ best effort to keep them at bay, with a score line of 3 sets to 1 as well.

Coming up next weekend is round 2 of the competition.

All clubs and players are expected to be fully registered to commence round two games.

Coinciding with the competition commencement is the training squad selection for the National Volleyball Championship in September in the nation’s capital.

The Association is expected to produce teams for the men’s and women’s open, under 21 female, under 21 male and Beach Volleyball.
