NCD Education System to be Decentralized

NCD Governor Powes Parkop is embarking on a mover to decentralisethe education system in NCD in 2014.

Mr Parkop’said, teachers in NCD schools have facedthe same old problem of leave entitlements not being paid out every year and this has to stop.

 

With all schools winding down at this time ofthe year, hardworking teachers in NCD facethe dilemma of delayed leave entitlements.

 

This has frustrated both teachers and NCD Governor Powes Parkop.

 

 

Unlike ther provincial education divisions aroundthe country, NCD Education division falls underthe National Education Department.

 

Governor Parkop’said all teachers deserve leave entitlements and called onthe NCD Education Division and TeachersService Commission to puttheir heads togther and solve this matter once and for all.

 

Mr. Parkop’said, teachers and health officers arethe most hardworking public servants.

 

Meanwhile Mr. Parkop has taken a bold mover to setupthe NCD Education Authority to look into all matters faced by teachers in NCD.

 

The Governor will bethe Chairman ofthe board with members from all sectors inthe private and public sector in NCD.

 

Governor Parkop announced thatthe submission will be handed over tothe National Executive Council come 2014 with a similar approach to be relayed tothe Health Sector in NCD.
