Concerns of national security were raised by Nothern Province MP Gary Juffa in parliament yesterday.
Mr Juffa asked Prime Minister Peter O’Neill whtherthe country’s NationalIntelligence Organization was still in operation and ifthe government had any plans to review NIO functions.
Mr Juffa saidthe NIO is vital to economic development.
Prime Minister O’Neill said a permanent director is top ofthe government’s priority in gettingthe organization to actively function.
